Individual Academic All-Ohio
To earn Academic All-Ohio in wrestling, a student must meet both requirements below:
1. Qualify for the OHSAA State wrestling championships
2. Have a high school cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. GPA must be cumulated over at least 2 semesters and calculated at the end of the semester prior to the student-athlete’s current wrestling season (freshmen are ineligible for this award). If your school does not use a 4.0 scale, please have your guidance counselor convert the average to a 4.0 scale equivalent.
Team Academic All-Ohio
1. Must have at least 6 wrestlers compete at the Regional Tournament. Freshman cannot be included in the 6 wrestlers used to calculate the team GPA for Academic Team All-Ohio.
2. The average of all wrestlers cumulative GPA’s competing at the Sectional Tournament must be 3.3 or better on a 4.0 scale. If your school does not use a 4.0 scale, then please have your guidance counselor convert the average to a 4.0 scale equivalent.
